How Quarter Pi handles information for Khatay websites, web applications, and mobile apps.
This Privacy Policy explains how Quarter Pi, operating as QUARTER PI, collects, uses, and protects information when you use Khatay websites, Khatay web applications, and Quarter Pi mobile apps.
This policy covers Quarter Pi apps including Split (com.quarterpi.khatay.split), Khatay Invoice, Khatay Bill, and other Khatay apps that link to this Privacy Policy.

Split App
Split is a Quarter Pi app for shared expense groups. The Android package name is com.quarterpi.khatay.split. Split uses your Khatay account to let you create or join groups, add members, record expenses and settlements, upload receipts, view balances, receive service notifications, and manage Split subscription status.
Split group data is shared with authorized members of the relevant group. This includes member display names, expenses, shares, settlements, balances, receipt attachments, invitations, and activity needed to keep group records understandable.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Khatay, we may collect:
- Account information such as your name, email address, login identity, and company membership.
- Business records you enter, including customers, vendors, products, invoices, estimates, payments, inventory records, and reports.
- Files or attachments you upload for business use.
- Split shared expense information, including expense groups, group descriptions, base currency, members, display names, member roles, optional member email addresses or phone numbers, invitations, invite tokens, invite links, expenses, settlements, balances, categories, notes, budgets, activity history, and receipt attachments.
- Split notification information, including notification messages, read status, notification preferences, navigation targets, and device notification tokens when notification device registration is used.
- Subscription and purchase status received from Apple App Store, Google Play, or other billing providers.
- Technical information such as device type, app version, IP address, logs, and diagnostic events used to secure and operate the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Khatay, including to:
- Authenticate users and manage company access.
- Store and process accounting, invoicing, inventory, and business records.
- Generate invoices, estimates, PDFs, reports, and related documents.
- Provide Split group features, including managing members, invitations, expenses, receipts, settlements, balances, budgets, activity, and notifications.
- Show shared Split group records to authorized group members so balances and settlements can be understood.
- Verify subscriptions and provide paid features.
- Send service emails such as invitations, verification messages, and account notices.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate Khatay, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, storage, analytics, payment, and app store verification providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Khatay, our users, or others.
In Split, group information, member display names, expenses, shares, settlements, balances, receipts, activity, and invitations are shared with authorized members of the relevant group as needed for the shared expense service to work.
Data Storage and Security
We use authenticated API access, authorization checks, HTTPS in production, and reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, so you should use strong credentials and keep account access private.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Khatay, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records. You may request account or data deletion by contacting support.
For Split, some shared group history may remain after a user's account is deleted because other group members need past expenses, settlements, balances, receipts, and activity records to remain understandable. Where implemented, account deletion removes account linkage and clears stored email or phone information from Split member and invitation records while retaining shared financial history.
Your Choices
You may update account, company, and Split group information in the app where available. Split users can update notification preferences and delete their account from the in-app Profile area. You may also contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal, shared-record, security, and operational limits.
Children
Khatay is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
